Picnics & the Playground

West of A1A, the main part of the park sits along the Intracoastal Waterway: family picnic shelters with grills, a seating pavilion, a playground for ages 5 to 12, a grassy lawn and restrooms, with views of boats heading to the inlet.

What's here

  • Family picnic shelters and picnic areas with grills.
  • A seating pavilion.
  • A playground with a play structure for ages 5 to 12.
  • Restrooms and outdoor showers.

Good to know

The park is open sunrise to sunset, and picnic shelters are first come, first served. Balloons are prohibited. Call the park at 561-966-6600 with questions.

Picnics by the water

The picnic grounds line the Intracoastal on the west side of A1A, so lunch comes with a view of the marina and boats heading for the inlet. Family-size shelters and grills are first come, first served, so arrive early on weekends and holidays. Bring your own charcoal.

The playground

The playground has a play structure designed for ages 5 to 12, near the shelters and restrooms, which makes it easy to keep an eye on kids while the grill heats up.

Rules

Balloons are prohibited in the park. Use grills only in the picnic areas, keep the park clean, and take your trash with you if bins are full.

Tips

Combine a picnic with an hour on the jetty or the beach across A1A. Sunsets over the Intracoastal are lovely, but the park closes at sunset except for anglers and marina users.
