Construction is underway for the renovation and replacement of the dilapidated 30-year-old seawall and dock system at Ocean Inlet Park. Phase I project costs are estimated at $3.6 million. A Florida Inland Navigation District grant was received to offset design and construction costs. Construction commenced this December. Phase 1 project elements include replacement of the marina bulkhead, removal of the existing fixed dock system and construction of floating day use docks and boat lifts for PBSO, Ocean Rescue and the Town of Manalapan marine vessels. Construction is expected to take nine to 12 months to complete.
